OUR STORY
In 2002, Ocala and Marion County needed a place where beauty and wellness could converge. Dr Seaborn and Donna Hunt found the perfect place to make this happen, a big pink Victorian affectionately called the 1890 House on Silver Springs Blvd. Elaine Hoffman, an LPN, had a vision to pamper each guest so they could “Face the Day” through skin care services. Together they brought the number one prestige beauty brand of Aveda into the mix by offering high-end spa and salon services.
After 7 years with busy lives, careers, eight adult children and eighteen grandchildren their plate was full. They handed the reigns to us, Richard and Dottie Rathel. We dug deep into the business and into Aveda. The more we researched Aveda the more we found a brand that was committed to excellence by serving people, body to soul, while protecting the environment around them.
In 2021 after eighteen years in that “grand old house” Face the Day moved less than a mile away to thriving Downtown Ocala. In 2022, we acquired Tuscany, another Aveda Salon and Spa in The Villages at Lake Sumter Landing. Both are surrounded by shops, restaurants and community events.
We believe that God created each person as an original piece of art, each one created with purpose and talents. We believe that by refreshing and renewing the outward person we can refresh and renew the inward soul while offering excellent spa services and spa-like salon services. It is an absolute honor and privilege to serve you, God’s masterpieces.
